Good:
~You get to see all kinds of places when you move
~ You can experience more than the average person
~ You have a TON of stories to tell
~ When summer comes around you get to go (not all kids get to) a summer camp for one week for free thanks to OPC (Operation Purple Camp)
Bad:
~ Most (almost all) parents (in the military) deploy for a long time
~ Again...you move ALOT (The longest I've ever stayed somewhere is here in TN)
~ Even when you say you're going to stay in touch with your friends from your previous home....you don't...you lose touch after awhile
~ The Army is very unreliable and you never know what's going to happen next
Well there you go, the Up's and the down's of the story.

I agree. I moved so many times growing up that I vowed I would never move again. I have no childhood friends and few from my teen years.
ReplyDeleteBut I have seen and experience many more things than my friends who have lived in Clarksville their whole lives and I believe I am a better person for it.
